Dr Mio Royce is an integrative veterinarian based in Tokyo and Sydney. She is also a highly valued member of the CIVT team, tutoring our Certification in Small Natural Animal Nutrition, Advanced Certification in Small Animal Naturopathy, Certification in Veterinary Natural Nutrition and Certification in Veterinary Integrative Therapeutic Nutrition.
She graduated from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology with a veterinary degree in 2002 and received PhD in 2006 from State University of New York for her research in molecular oncology conducted at Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health. She worked as a canine and feline chemotherapy specialist and clinical researcher at university and referral centres. This was when she discovered the power of natural nutrition and herbs and how well they complement the conventional cancer treatment. Since then, integrating molecular therapies and holistic medicine has become her passion, and she’s been living her dream since she completed CIVT’s Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine and more recently Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Western Herbal Medicine. She is now in the process of opening her own "dream" clinic in Tokyo.
Beside work, Mio is a passionate hot yoga practitioner. When she doesn't answer your phone call, that's where you can find her!
