International Veterinary Acupuncture Society

The International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) is dedicated to promoting excellence in the practice of veterinary acupuncture as an integral part of the total veterinary health care delivery system. CIVT and IVAS have delivered the Certification Course in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine since 2008. Together they have provided excellence in education in Chinese Medicine. CIVT recommends the Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture available through IVAS affiliates throughout the world.

The Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association

The Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association is a group of veterinarians and VBMAherbalists dedicated to developing responsible herbal practice by encouraging research and education, strengthening industry relations, keeping herbal tradition alive as a valid information source, and increasing professional acceptance of herbal medicine for animals.

Dr Barbara Fougere is a Past President of VBMA and is working with VBMA to deliver courses on Herbal Medicine with the same vision.

 

 

The American Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association

The American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association explores and supports alternative and complementary approaches to veterinary healthcare, and is dedicated to integratAHVMAing all aspects of animal wellness in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. Dr Barbara Fougere was honored with the award practitioner of the Year by AHVMA in 2010 and Dr Steve Marsden was honored with the award Holistic Educator of the Year in 2010.

CIVT is an organisational member of ABC. ABC envisions a healthier world throuAmerican Botanical Councilgh herbs - a world where people make educated, responsible choices about herbal medicine as an accepted part of their health care and selfcare. They do this by Educating consumers, healthcare professionals, researchers, educators, industry and media on the safe and effective use of medicinal plants; advocating responsibile herbal production and use and promoting a healtheir world through responsible herbal use. All members of CIVT have access to ABC resources.
