Dr. Marta Calvo Blanco obtained her Veterinary Degree with Honours in Spain more than 25 years ago, and together with her veterinary surgeon husband, she successfully operated her own practice for 15 years. Over the course of her career, Marta pursued additional education in various fields, including Animal Nutrition, Homeopathy, Flower Essences, Essential Oils, Food Supplements, and Animal Communication, and in 2012, she became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS).
After relocating to Australia in 2015, Marta worked as an Animal Naturopath and Vet Technician, and in 2017, she established her own business, "Holistic Animal Naturopath," while specializing in the use of medicinal cannabis for animal treatment. In 2019, she joined eCS Vet where she served as Head of Education to contribute to the education of veterinary professionals on the use of cannabinoid medications for animals.
She has made appearances as a featured speaker at international events, as well as in Australia, and has contributed articles to various pet magazines, sharing her expertise and knowledge. Furthermore, she has conducted training sessions and delivered lectures to fellow veterinarians and veterinary nurses, providing them with valuable insights.
Marta has recently moved back to Spain to keep promoting awareness and understanding of medicinal cannabis, enabling the availability of new treatment options that enhance the quality of life for animals.
