I’ve recently completed the Natural Animal Nutrition course and was very impressed by the quality of the materials and lecturers – you will learn from the best in the field!

The skills and knowledge I gained are invaluable to make informed and science-backed decisions about what to feed my beloved animal companion and why. I walked away from the course being able to understand and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of feeding approaches and so much more!

The course is very flexible and was easy to fit around my schedule. I looked forward to my readings and course materials each week learning from international experts and really appreciated the thorough feedback provided by the course tutor on assignments.

I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to learn from leading experts and recent science in the nutrition space. You will walk away a better pet parent!

"I run a small holistic veterinary consulting practice. Besides Chinese medicine, acupuncture and aromatherapy I wanted to know more about Western phytotherapy. This six week course was brilliant, the teachers were amazing and it gave me much more confidence to use Western herbal medicine, in all its forms. The teachers answered all my questions and encouraged me to try using herbs. For me it was very important feeling I had somebody supporting me and giving me feedback. I recommend this course to every vet who wants to learn about phytotherapy, but right now doesn’t have the time for longer study. Thanks for everything and hopefully I’ll enroll in the graduate diploma course sometime in the future."

"I recently had the opportunity to attend Dr T's Pain Prevention Protocol course. It has significantly enhanced my understanding and approach to pain recognition and management in animals, equipping me with a more discerning eye to recognize subtle signs of discomfort in my patients.

What sets this course apart is its practicality. Dr T didn't just focus on theoretical concepts but provided valuable insights into real-world applications. The inclusion of practical home advice for pet owners was particularly beneficial. This not only empowers pet owners to be more vigilant in recognizing signs of pain but also facilitates a collaborative effort between veterinarians and caregivers for the overall well-being of our animal companions."

"I found Dr Tanya at just the right time. My beloved Lab, Piper, had been losing mobility as she got older, and we needed help. Taking Dr Tanya’s Pain Prevention Protocol class helped me understand what was happening with Piper, read her cues, and respond more fully. She also helped me find holistic approaches, going beyond prescription medications. What was really sweet was that some of the changes we made had the side benefit of giving me more time with Piper and connecting with her more deeply. Dr Tanya’s support brought real relief to Piper, allowing her to be more at ease and sleep more restfully. I felt so supported and understood as I learned to navigate her changing condition. I am so grateful for Dr Tanya and her course. I can’t recommend it highly enough."

“I highly recommend the Certification in Small Animal Natural Nutrition course. As a certified veterinary technician and animal owner, I have always had an interest in providing the best care and nutrition for my patients. This program includes topics such as nutrigenomics, nutraceuticals, naturopathic methods, and environmental health. Nutrition plays a key role in many disease processes and is often dismissed as an unimportant topic. With the growing nutrition related concerns from clients, it is even more important for veterinary staff to be up to date on the latest research and to be able to inform clients accurately. This certification provides in-depth knowledge and skills needed for application in the veterinary setting. I am better able to assist the veterinarian and our clients in providing a complete and specialized nutrition plan, thanks to the highly skilled and knowledgeable instructors at CIVT.”

“After graduating, I spent 5 years in a busy general practice in the heart of Toronto, where I quickly realized that I was seeing a cycle of animals with chronic diseases that were being managed symptomatically with steroids and antibiotics. The treatments would work temporarily and then they would be back a few months later with even more severe symptoms. I knew there had to be more that I could offer my patients and do so in a way that wouldn’t wreak havoc on their microbiome and immune systems. I decided to leave the practice and start my own holistic mobile service. Having taken multiple Western herbal courses, I had a fairly good background on this modality however I had always wanted to learn about Traditional Chinese Medicine. I stumbled upon the Graduate Diploma of Veterinary Acupuncture and I knew right away I had to enrol. The course was amazing and the staff were incredible. I didn’t know it at the time of enrolment but I was pregnant and gave birth midway through the course. The course coordinators and my wonderful teacher Dr Van Tine were incredible at working with me and providing me with the flexibility I needed to stay on track with the material but also allow for time to enjoy my newborn. Graduating from this course has been such a huge accomplishment for me, and I am so excited that I can now offer my patients even more modalities to help them thrive and manage any of their health concerns.”

"Having practiced acupuncture for a number of years, I was looking for additional tools to complement my conventional therapies. Although I had a prior knowledge of Chinese medicine, the Grad Dip in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine was very well taught and I increased my knowledge significantly. The course was presented in a very logical manner with relevant applications and gave me confidence to start using Chinese herbs whilst learning. I have found significant improvement in many of my patients using Chinese herbs. I was particularly happy to see improvement in cases where I had already exhausted conventional treatment options. The course importantly gave me an understanding of how to use the herbs safely with the knowledge of what effects to expect and what potential contraindications may exist. Highly recommend this course to anyone looking to expand their skills and treatment effectiveness, regardless of the type of practice you work in."

"I've recently completed Certificate in Veterinary Natural Nutrition Course. It is my third course that I completed through the CIVT. I can only highly recommend any of the CIVT courses as they are in-depth, highly professional and of scientific backgrounds. There is a lot of friendly, encouraging and professional support from all the mentors and staff of CIVT.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Vet Natural Nutrition Course as it addressed nutrition from different angles, in depth, and was not afraid to touch on and discuss some of the controversies attached to natural feeding and natural diets. I've also kept the membership for the Animal Diet Formulator that we had access to during the course and have already seen many improvements in all sorts of chronic conditions by improving my patients diets.

All the best to anyone who signs up to this course or any other CIVT courses, you will enjoy it."
