Feline chronic rhinitis/rhinosinusitis (colloquially referred to as chronic snufflers) encompass a variety of etiologies with variable presentation and severity. This is a frustrating and most often progressive disease process, with cure being the exception rather than the rule. This presentation seeks to expand the toolbox of the practitioner in order to support normal respiratory function, improve patient outcome and enhance quality of life. Pathophysiology, differential diagnoses, and conventional therapies will be reviewed, with more detailed discussion of herbal and nutraceutical approaches and their rationale.
