Osteopathy is a manual therapy similar to chiropractic but has a whole body approach to optimize mobility, whole body alignment and alleviate pain. This introductory webinar will cover the history, philosophy and neuro-anatomical principles of osteopathy.
The three pillars of osteopathy are visceral manipulation, joint mobilization (spine/other joints) and craniosacral therapy. At its foundation is the treatment of fascia anywhere in the body. Internal organs/fascia profoundly influence the musculoskeletal system via the autonomic nervous system and internal fascial attachments. The majority of restrictions in the pelvis/spine/scapula actually have their root cause in viscero-fascial restrictions.
This webinar will show the diagnosis and treatment of spay/neuter adhesions that are the root cause of a whole-body misalignment pattern. Restoring whole body alignment is the common denominator in improving many musculoskeletal problems such as hind/fore leg lameness, iliopsoas muscle injury, back/neck pain, IVDD and CCL injuries. Osteopathy also addresses the root cause of most CCL injuries.
