Recent advances in peptide therapeutics have opened new possibilities for veterinary medicine. This presentation explores the emerging role of therapeutic peptides in small animal medicine, focusing on three promising compounds that may enhance treatment outcomes for common conditions in cats and dogs; BPC-157, SS-31, and TA-1. This presentation aims to provide practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of these peptide therapeutics and their potential integration into current veterinary protocols, while addressing both the opportunities and limitations of these emerging treatment options.
