Dr Amy Watson-Doyle knew from the age of six that she wanted to be a Veterinary Surgeon. She got her Veterinary Degree alongside a Masters degree in pathology from the University of Cambridge in 2005.

After graduation, she joined a large and busy veterinary hospital for eight years, before doing locum small animal work for an additional three years. In 2016 she founded her practice, Pinpoint Veterinary Care.

She started her holistic education with the Acupuncture course from the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists in 2013. On that course she met Dr Linda Boggie and was inspired to complete IVAS training in 2017. Dr Amy is also certified in rehabilitation from CRI. She completed her Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine from CIVT at the beginning of 2023.

Dr Amy has treated many dogs with canine cognitive dysfunction in her career, both from a purely conventional and, more recently, an integrative approach. She has had her own life touched with this disease, as well as its human counterpart and so is well versed in the more personal and emotional aspects that come with this diagnosis, and the day to day realities of living with these neurodegenerative disorders.

She is a three-time nominee for Pet Plan's Veterinary Surgeon of the Year.
