Veterinary Student and First Year Graduate membership of CIVT is free of charge and open to currently enrolled veterinary students and new graduate veterinarians until the end of the first year following graduation.
Associate membership of CIVT is open to retired/part-time veterinarians and animal health professionals, non-registered health providers, health providers without tertiary qualifications and pet owners seeking education opportunities

Your CIVT membership runs for a full calendar year from the time you join.
Veterinarians and Veterinary Students are required to provide their registration number, state, and country, and upload a current registration certificate
Veterinary students are required to upload documentation that confirms they are currently enrolled in a veterinary degree i.e. student card.
Qualified and licensed or registered animal and allied health professionals may apply for Animal Health Professional membership, subject to eligibility criteria. Animal health professionals are required to supply the name of the practice in which they work OR the state in which they are registered, and their registration number. They are also required to upload qualification documents i.e. certificate of course completion.
All other health professionals applying for Animal Health Professional members are required to list their qualifications and details of registration with a recognised national body. They are also required to upload documentation i.e. certificate of course completion or registration certificate.

Memberships are approved manually, this can take up to five days because of international time differences, but it generally only takes a day or two.
