About Dr Mitsie Vargas, DVM, CVA, FAAVA - Dr Vargas established Orchid Springs Animal Hospital in Florida, USA, in 1996 and has since practiced high quality medicine and surgery for small animals and exotics. Dr Vargas teaches acupuncture, served as a TCVM consultant for Disney's Animal Kingdom and is a Certified Veterinary Journalist and author of scientific and motivational articles. Dr. Vargas has lectured at the World TCVM Congress (2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019), AAVA Conference (2017, 2020), AVMA (2011), and the CBVMA (2017). She has received numerous awards including Florida's Veterinarian of the Year 2018 by FVMA, Fellow of the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture 2017 and America's Favorite Veterinarian in 2015.
