Join Dr Ian Bidstrup for this instructional three-part webinar series exploring the often overlooked role of enthesial strain in musculoskeletal dysfunction, and how to effectively treat it using dextrose prolotherapy, a regenerative injection technique.
Fascia, ligaments, tendons, and joint capsules are all key forms of connective tissue. Where these tissues anchor to bone is known as the enthesis, a crucial but under-recognized structure in the diagnosis and treatment of pain and biomechanical dysfunction. Enthesial injury is increasingly recognised as a common contributor to musculoskeletal pain, altered posture, and soft tissue tension imbalances.
Dr Bidstrup utilises prolotherapy as an effective and affordable alternative for treating sacroiliac disease, kissing spines, and cervical pain in dogs and horses, as well as cruciate disease, hip dysplasia, wobblers disease, and elbow dysplasia in dogs.
This comprehensive series will cover:
Part 1:
Part 2:
Application of prolotherapy including:
Part 3:
Application of prolotherapy including:
Dr Bidstrup will also introduce gold beading of enthesial strain points, which closely correspond to commonly used acupuncture points for the joints.
By the end of this webinar series, registrants will be able to identify and treat enthesial strain, and apply these insights to manage complex cases involving chronic pain, postural abnormalities, and joint instability in both dogs and horses. Preventative strategies to support long-term biomechanical health will also be discussed.
