'Liu Jun Zi Tang - Biomedical Mechanisms of Antiemetic Action & Appetite Support' Webinar Presented by Dr Erin Bannink

Categories:
Chinese Herbs Oncology

About the Webinar

Liu Jun Zi Tang is a Chinese herbal formula commonly used to support patients receiving chemotherapy. Liu Jun Zi Tang is clearly recognized as a formula which treats nausea, improves gastric motility, improves appetite and increases ghrelin secretion in numerous clinical and in vivo studies. Based on research performed in dogs, Liu Jun Zi Tang is a valid treatment option to consider for alleviating gastrointestinal disorders via its pro-kinetic effects as well as its appetite-promoting effects. In this webinar you will learn about research demonstrating how Liu Jun Zi Tang influences ghrelin levels, cholinergic neurons, 5-HT receptors and gastrointestinal motility in dogs when administered orally. You will learn which herbs in the formula seem to be most important for these effects and how they work synergistically to achieve these results.

Dr Bannink recently presented another webinar for CIVT, 'Canine Splenic Hemangiosarcoma: Overview of Current Conventional Treatments and Integrative Therapy'. Click HERE for further information.
