Dr Ilona Hudson was raised in Sydney, Australia. She always loved animals and knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian from an early age. She earned her veterinary degree from the University of Sydney in 1994, then spent a year in small animal practice before completing an equine internship.
Afterwards, she worked in small animal, mixed animal, and equine practice. She earned her Membership in the ANZCVS in Equine Medicine in 2000.
Her holistic journey began with a Graduate Diploma in Animal Biomechanical Medicine in 2004, followed by IVAS Certification in Acupuncture in 2010. Because she teaches in the Animal Biomechanical Medicine program, she earned her Cert IV TAE in 2013, then was certified as a canine rehabilitation therapist from CRI in 2019.
In 2002, Dr Hudson purchased a practice in the Newcastle area, Noah's Ark Veterinary Services, which offers integrative medicine for both small animals and horses. In 2023, she and her business partner opened Move Unleashed, which is an outgrowth of Noah's Ark and offers holistic medicine and rehabilitation services for small animals and horses. Outside of practice, she is the President of the Animal Biomechanical Professionals of Australia and enjoys dressage riding.
