Originally fromTeWhanganui a' Tara- Wellington, New Zealand, Sharlene completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture from the New Zealand School of Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine. She spent over 10 years specializing in Women’s Health, Fertility, and Pregnancy at 'FertilityAssociates'and in private practice. In 2017, she transitioned herlifelong passion for holistic animal care into a career, becoming a Veterinary Technician and completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Veterinary Acupuncture through CIVT in 2019. During this time, she launched 4 Paws Acupuncture, providing mobile in-home services. Herexpertiseincludes Canine rehabilitation, Western and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Sharlene now teaches Canine TuiNa Rehabilitation online and in person to help owners actively engage in their dogs' wellbeing & for those wanting to add another modality to their Canine based Practice. Withnearly 20years of experience andnumeroustrips to China, she is passionate about the positive impact Chinese medicine has on Veterinary Medicine and the importance of client education.
