'Acupuncture at the Level of the Cell' Webinar Presented by Dr Patricia Baley

About the Webinar

This is a brief overview of the current state of research on the effects of acupuncture, in part to give an answer to the question that is often asked - “is there any research?” We will discuss the complexity of acupuncture points from a histologic and cellular level and what happens when we stimulate them. We will cover both needle and laser stimulation and why they both work at a cellular level and how from a physiologic standpoint the results can be similar with either form of stimulation. Then we will delve into the cellular effects of acupuncture on the whole body, including how acupuncture can cause changes far from the point of stimulation. There will be discussions on how research is performed and new techniques that give us greater insight into how on a cellular and physiologic level our medicine works.
