Susan graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (University of London) in 2002 and worked in small animal general practice for 10 years, during this time she trained in veterinary acupuncture and used the skills she learnt to help her patients in general practice. In 2012 Susan founded her own practice - Acupaws. Initially offering acupuncture referral treatments, training in both veterinary homeopathy and veterinary herbal medicine soon followed. After 5 years of study in veterinary homeopathy Susan qualified and gained membership of the faculty of homeopathy. Acupaws now takes referrals in Acupuncture, Herbal medicine, and Homeopathy offering a holistic veterinary health service. Susan accepts referrals for a full array of medical conditions from pain management to chronic health problems and palliative care for cancer patients. She works alongside conventional medicine and combines her knowledge of holistic therapies as well as dietary and lifestyle assessment to achieve the best possible outcome for her patients. Susan is the chairperson of the British Association of Veterinary Herbalists and is an active member of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons. As well as her referral practice she also teaches and writes articles. When not with her patients she is kept busy by her three children, two dogs, and tortoise.
